Wellbear Flaxseed Oil Cold Pressed is a 100% oil from common flax seeds (Linum usitatissimum) - cold pressed, unrefined and unfiltered in a Polish oil mill. Its yellowish colour and characteristic bittersweet, nutty taste come from the lack of refining. Perfect for drizzling over cold dishes such as salads, dips and cooked grains.
About the product
Wellbear Flaxseed Oil Cold Pressed is a 100% oil from common flax seeds (Linum usitatissimum), cold pressed in a Polish oil mill. The seeds come from domestic crops, and pressing takes place without heating the raw material.
The oil is unrefined and unfiltered, which explains its yellowish colour, slightly tart aroma, bittersweet nutty taste and the natural sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Shake before use. The shade and intensity of the taste can vary between batches of seeds - this is normal for an oil without refining. The bottle is dark and thick to limit light exposure.
- 100% flaxseed oil - single ingredient, pressed in Poland
- Cold pressed - no heat treatment during production
- Unrefined and unfiltered - hence the colour, taste and natural sediment
- No preservatives or additives

Intended use
Oil for dishes served cold: salads and coleslaws, lemon dressings, cottage cheese and vegetable spreads, drizzled over cooked potatoes or groats, smoothies and yogurt. Add to cooked dishes only after they have cooled down. Not suitable for frying or baking - high temperature degrades the polyunsaturated fatty acids. Vegan. Not for people allergic to flax.
How to use
1 tablespoon (12 g) a day - straight from the spoon, in a morning smoothie, in yogurt, or poured over a dish just before serving. The slightly bitter aftertaste softens when combined with honey, natural yogurt or lemon juice, so it is worth starting with a smaller portion. For children over 3 years old, give smaller amounts and consult a paediatrician beforehand. The oil is also sometimes used externally, for skin and hair care.
Storage
Before opening, store in a cool, dark place. After opening, keep refrigerated (4-10 degrees Celsius) and use within a month - flaxseed oil oxidises faster than other vegetable oils under the influence of light, heat and air. Keep the bottle tightly closed.
Ingredients
Common flaxseed oil 100%, cold pressed.
Allergy advice
May contain traces of gluten, nuts (including peanuts), mustard and sesame.
