Oral hygiene is a fundamental issue if you want to have healthy teeth. Only with proper care are you able to avoid tooth decay and even tooth loss. But where do you start? And is oral hygiene only about brushing your teeth? Well, no. It involves many more activities, each of which is equally important.
Step one - flossing
Brushing, although extremely important, should give way to flossing, but only during daily hygiene. Flossing will enable you to remove food debris from between your teeth. This will help you avoid tooth decay attacking your teeth from the side, i.e. from hard-to-reach places. What's more, flossing will also help you to take care of your teeth, as decaying food is the cause of unpleasant breath and further dental problems. Flossing will also help you to take care of your teeth.
Step two - brushing
Brushing is by far the most important daily activity in oral hygiene. It is brushing that removes tartar, cleans teeth and protects them from harmful acids. Remember to brush your teeth morning and evening. You can use any toothpaste you like. If, on the other hand, you are experiencing problems, reach for a product dedicated to the complications in question. It may be a whitening toothpaste, a toothpaste for sensitive teeth or a toothpaste against decay. With the right toothpaste, you can effectively take care of your teeth.
For brushing, use a toothbrush marked soft or medium. This will ensure that you do not irritate your gums and at the same time take care to remove debris and tartar. Although you will find hard-bristled toothbrushes on the market, their purpose is mainly for artificial teeth.
Step three - rinsing
After you have mechanically removed the debris from your teeth, take care to get rid of the bacteria, as well as fresh breath. A mouthwash will help you with this. Its job is to rinse away any bacteria that are responsible for cavities in your teeth. This way you can forget about tooth decay. Mouthwash is also the best support for fighting bad breath. It eliminates unpleasant mouth odour, which in itself is a good reason to use it.
On the market, you will find mouthwashes in a wide variety of colours and compositions. Look for an antibacterial agent in it. This will make the liquid work even more effectively. It is bacteria that are responsible for tooth decay, so by removing them during your daily care routine, you can be sure that this problem will not affect you.
