About the product

Sadvit is a family-run press near Warka, Poland, making juices purely from fruit and vegetables - no water, sugar or flavour enhancers.

Japanese quince is often nicknamed the "Polish lemon" - on its own it is virtually inedible, too hard and too sour to eat raw. Juice is the simplest way to use it at all.

It is cold-pressed using the NFC method, then only pasteurized. The only ingredient is quince juice - no water, sugar or flavourings.

Sugars amount to just 1.6 g per 100 ml, coming solely from the fruit itself - the lowest of any Sadvit fruit juice.

The tap bag-in-box holds 1.5 litres, or six 250 ml servings. The tap keeps air out, so once opened the juice stays fresh for 21 days instead of just two.

Use

A substitute for lemon juice in the kitchen and a sharply sour addition to tea. Works well in syrups, tinctures and cocktails - anywhere you need acidity without sweetness.

How to use

1. Shake the pack before pouring - the juice may separate.
2. Pour directly from the tap without opening the bag.
3. Add a spoonful to tea instead of lemon.
4. Use as a sour base for a syrup, tincture or lemonade.

Storage

Store in a dry, shaded place at 2 to 20°C. Once opened, the juice stays fresh for 21 days, as long as the tap stays flooded with juice and no air enters the bag. If air does get in, use the juice within 24 hours. The juice may separate - this is natural.
