Vitamin C dissolves in water and the body cannot store it for later use - any excess from a single large dose is simply excreted. The matrix formula, borrowed from pharmaceutical manufacturing technology, solves this differently than by increasing the dose: the tablet releases L-ascorbic acid gradually, over up to 8 hours, thanks to a matrix built from plant cellulose.

One tablet contains 500 mg of vitamin C in the form of L-ascorbic acid. This is the largest of the three pack sizes in this line - enough for around six months of daily use, so it suits anyone who has already tried the product and takes it on an ongoing basis. The preparation is vegan and free from gluten, milk protein, lactose, soy, yeast and gelatin. The formula was developed at the German MSE laboratory of Dr. Franz Enzmann, with production in Germany to GMP standard.

Ingredients

L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C), bulking agent: microcrystalline cellulose, glazing agents: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, polyethylene glycol; starch, anti-caking agents: magnesium salts of fatty acids, silicon dioxide.

Suggested use

1 tablet daily, preferably with a meal, with an adequate amount of water. Vitamin C should not be taken on an empty stomach.

Tablets must not be crushed - this would destroy the matrix responsible for gradual release. If needed, it can be split in half along the marked line.

Do not take the tablet with hot drinks, alcohol or milk.

Contraindications

Do not use in people with kidney stones or those predisposed to forming kidney stones.
