Wellbear Black Cumin Oil is a 100% cold-pressed oil from Nigella sativa seeds, unrefined and unfiltered for a bold, peppery flavor. Rich in unsaturated fatty acids, it suits salads, dressings and dips as an everyday cold-use oil. Best mixed with something sweet, like honey or fruit juice, to soften its bitterness.
About the product
Wellbear Black Cumin Oil is 100% oil from Nigella sativa seeds, cold-pressed in a Polish oil mill. Black cumin, also known as black seed, has flavored Middle Eastern and North African cooking for centuries - the oil is pressed from its small, dark seeds.
The oil is unrefined and unfiltered, which gives it a golden-brown color and a bold flavor: sharp, spicy, with a strong bitterness and a peppery edge. This isn't a mild oil and doesn't pretend to be - it pairs best with something sweet, like honey, plain yogurt or fruit juice. A fine sediment of seed particles can settle at the bottom of the bottle; just shake before use.

Reference intake of an average adult (8400 kJ / 2000 kcal). Your requirements may vary.
Replacing saturated fats with unsaturated fats in the diet contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats are unsaturated fats, and together they make up 84 g of every 100 g of this oil.
Intended use
An oil for dishes served cold: salads and coleslaws, dressings with lemon, orange and honey, cold soups, vegetable spreads and dips. Its bitterness balances sweetness well, so it also works in fruit yogurt or a smoothie. Add it to cooked dishes only after they've cooled. Not suitable for frying, baking or cooking - high heat degrades the polyunsaturated fatty acids and spoils the flavor. Vegan.
Directions
Adults: 1 tablespoon (12 g) daily, ideally with a meal. Children from age 3: up to 1 teaspoon daily. Children aged 1 to 3: 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon daily - consult a doctor for the exact amount in this age group. Given the strong bitterness, start with a smaller amount and mix the oil with yogurt, a smoothie, fruit juice or honey. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use. The oil is also sometimes used externally, for skin and hair care.
Storage
Store in a cool, dark place before opening. After opening, keep refrigerated (4-10°C) and use within 2-3 months - with this bottle size it's worth planning ahead, as unrefined oil oxidizes when exposed to light, heat and air. Keep the bottle tightly closed, in its original dark glass. The best-before date doubles as the batch number and appears on the label.
Ingredients
Nigella sativa (black cumin) seed oil 100%, cold-pressed.
Allergy advice
May contain trace amounts of gluten, nuts (including peanuts), mustard and sesame - the product is made on a shared production line at the oil mill. Do not use if allergic to black cumin.
