Description
Almond acid is an α-hydroxy acid (AHA) obtained by hydrolysis of bitter almond extract. Its molecule is larger than that of at least lactic acid or the popular glycolic acid.
Almond acid works best for mixed, polluted, oily and acne-prone skin. It prevents pimples and alleviates acne lesions, reduces acne scars and regulates sebum secretion. Like any cosmetic hydroxy acid, it has brightening effects, smoothing and evening out epidermal colour.
Properties of the acid:
Transparent, clear liquid, does not dissolve in oils. It has a gel-like consistency. In addition, it provides a convenient application as an acid peel. Nago's 10% mandelic acid has a pH between 3 and 3.5, so there is no need to use neutralisers.
How to use:
Almond acid 10% is used in the evening, as a scrub. Apply the product to previously cleansed facial skin, for 15-20 minutes. Then rinse it off generously with lukewarm water. If you intend to have an acid treatment at a beauty salon, you must inform your cosmetologist about the use of acid at home.
Do not use acids in the following situations: herpes, pregnancy and lactation, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, fresh scars, phototherapy treatments.
INCI:
