Ziółko Lipa is a dried infusion made from whole linden flowers (Tilia) – one of the most famous Polish trees, capable of living for several hundred years and growing up to 40 metres tall. Two species grow wild in Poland: the small-leaved linden and the large-leaved linden, and their honey-bearing flowers have been harvested for generations to make a home-brewed infusion.

Linden flower infusion has a golden colour and a delicate, sweet, honey-like aroma, as well as a mild flavour. It is one of the classics among Polish herbal teas, often enjoyed hot, especially on chilly evenings.

Directions

Pour 1 tablespoon of linden blossom into 200 ml of hot water and steep, covered, for 5–8 minutes. Can be drunk 2–3 times a day.
