Ziółko Hibiscus is a dried hibiscus flower, also known as the roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa) or Sudanese mallow. It is the anthocyanins contained within it that give the infusion its intense, ruby-red colour.

Hibiscus tea has a refreshingly tart flavour and a deep red colour – known worldwide as karkade, it tastes delicious both hot and over ice. Hibiscus flowers are also great for cooking: jams, jellies, homemade syrups and as an aromatic addition to sauces and desserts.

Intended use

Directions

Pour a glass of hot water over 1–2 teaspoons of dried flowers and steep, covered, for 5–10 minutes. It also tastes good chilled, with ice.

Store in a cool, dry place in a tightly sealed container – protect from light, moisture and foreign odours.
