About the product

Ziółko Black Elderflower is a dried blend of elderflower blossoms (Sambucus nigra) – a common Polish shrub which, from mid-May, is covered in magnificent white clusters of tiny flowers. Their culinary tradition stretches back generations.

Elderflower has a delicate, floral-nutmeg aroma, which comes into its own in homemade preserves. It is a classic ingredient in elderflower syrup and lemonade, aromatic fritters and a mild, pale herbal infusion.

Directions for use

Pour 200 ml of hot water over 1 teaspoon of elderflower and steep, covered, for 5–8 minutes. The flowers are also ideal for making homemade syrup and lemonade.

Store in a dry, cool place in a tightly sealed container – protect from light, moisture and foreign odours.
