About the product

Ziółko Calendula is a dried mixture of calendula petals (Calendula officinalis) – a plant from the Asteraceae family that has been prized for centuries for its distinctive orange-yellow flowers. Despite its Mediterranean origins, it has become perfectly at home in Polish gardens.

The intensely coloured marigold petals give a golden hue to dishes and infusions, which is why they are sometimes called ‘the saffron of the poor’. It is a decorative and aromatic addition to rice, soups, herb butter and salads, as well as a classic ingredient in homemade rinses and compresses.

Intended use

For those who wish to add colour and aroma to dishes and infusions – for rice, soups, herb butter and salads, as well as for homemade rinses and compresses.

Directions for use

Pour 200 ml of hot water over 1 tablespoon of petals, cover and steep for 10 minutes, then strain. The flakes can also be added to dishes for a golden colour or used to prepare a stronger infusion for rinses and compresses.

Storage

Store in a dry, cool place in a tightly sealed container – protect from light, moisture and foreign odours.
