Buckthorn bark has a distinctly bitter taste and contains natural anthraquinoids (anthraquinone compounds). This is a potent herb, well known in the herbalist tradition, intended exclusively for short-term use and handled with care.

Purpose
For those familiar with traditional, potent herbal ingredients who use them consciously, short-term, and with due caution.
Directions
Infusion: add a teaspoon of bark to a glass (200 ml) of lukewarm water, bring to a boil and simmer covered for approximately 15 minutes, then leave to stand for 10 minutes and strain. Use no more than 3 times per week and no longer than 1-2 weeks.

Buckthorn bark contains anthraquinoids with potent effects - use for short-term periods only (no longer than 1-2 weeks and no more than 3 times per week).
