About the product
Wellbear Milk Thistle Oil Cold Pressed is a 100% oil from milk thistle seeds (Silybum marianum), cold-pressed in a Polish manufactory. Milk thistle is a spiky plant native to the Mediterranean basin; its Latin name comes from a legend about the white markings on its leaves, and the oil is pressed from its small seeds.
The oil is unrefined and unfiltered, which gives it a golden-green hue, a bold nutty flavor and a fine natural sediment at the bottom of the bottle - simply shake before use. The color can be lighter or darker depending on the seed batch; that is normal for an oil without refining.

- Cold-pressed in a Polish manufactory, without heat treatment
- Unrefined and unfiltered - hence the color, flavor and natural sediment

Replacing saturated fats with unsaturated fats in the diet has been shown to reduce blood cholesterol. High cholesterol is a risk factor in the development of coronary heart disease. Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats are unsaturated fats, and together they make up 84 g of every 100 g of this oil.
Intended Use
An oil for dishes served cold: salads and vegetable sides, dressings with lemon, herbs and honey, chilled soups, curd cheese spreads and smoothies. Its nutty note pairs well with wholegrain bread and grains. Add it to cooked dishes only after they have cooled - including porridge. Not suitable for frying, baking or cooking - high heat degrades the polyunsaturated fatty acids. Vegan.
How to Use
Adults: 1 tablespoon (12 g) a day, ideally with a meal. Children from 1 year: up to 1 teaspoon a day - for this age group, agree the amount with a doctor. The bold flavor is easy to soften by mixing the oil with plain yogurt, a fruit smoothie, honey or apple juice. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use. The oil is also sometimes used topically, for skin and hair care.
Storage
Before opening, store in a cool, dark place. After opening, keep refrigerated (4-10 degrees C) - given this bottle size, it is worth planning how quickly you will use it, as unrefined oil oxidizes when exposed to light, heat and air. Keep the bottle tightly closed, in its original dark glass. The best-before date doubles as the batch number and is printed on the label.
Ingredients
Milk thistle seed oil 100%, cold-pressed.
Allergen Advice
May contain trace amounts of gluten, nuts (including peanuts), mustard and sesame - the product is made on a shared production line. Do not use if allergic to milk thistle.
