Wellbear Safflower Oil Cold Pressed is a 100% oil from safflower seeds (Carthamus tinctorius), cold-pressed and unrefined. Its golden color and light, faintly bitter flavor come from traditional cold pressing without refining or filtering. With 75 g of linoleic acid per 100 g - more than any other oil in the Wellbear range - it's a versatile choice for cold dishes and everyday use.
About the product
Wellbear Safflower Oil Cold Pressed is a 100% oil from safflower seeds (Carthamus tinctorius), cold-pressed in a Polish manufactory. The species name is no coincidence - since antiquity, safflower flowers have been used as a source of dye for fabrics, while the oil is pressed from the seeds.
The oil is unrefined and unfiltered, which gives it a golden color, a light flavor with a faint bitterness, and a fine natural sediment at the bottom of the bottle - simply shake before use. It's the mildest-tasting oil in the range, so it won't dominate a dish the way black cumin or mustard oil would.

NRV - Nutrient Reference Value, based on 8400 kJ / 2000 kcal for an average adult. Your requirements may vary.
Linoleic acid contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 10 g of linoleic acid - one tablespoon of this oil provides 9 g.
Purpose
An oil for dishes served cold. Its mild profile makes it useful where a more assertive oil would overpower the dish: as a base for homemade mayonnaise, in dressings with lemon, honey and mustard, in yogurt dips with garlic and herbs, in cottage cheese spreads with dill, and drizzled over cooked vegetables. Add to cooked dishes only after they have cooled. Not suitable for frying, baking or cooking - high heat degrades the polyunsaturated fatty acids. Vegan.
How to use
One tablespoon (12 g) a day - straight from the spoon, in a morning smoothie, with yogurt and fruit, or drizzled over a dish just before serving. Thanks to its mild flavor, it doesn't need anything to mask it. The oil is also sometimes used topically, for skin and hair care.
Storage
Before opening, store in a cool, dark place. After opening, keep refrigerated (4-10°C) and use within a month - given the bottle size, it's worth planning consumption, as an oil this high in polyunsaturated fatty acids oxidizes quickly when exposed to light, heat and air. Keep the bottle tightly closed, in its original dark glass. The best-before date doubles as the batch number and is printed on the label.
Ingredients
Safflower seed oil 100%, cold-pressed.
Allergen information
May contain traces of gluten, nuts (including peanuts), mustard and sesame - the product is manufactured on a shared production line. Do not use if allergic to safflower.
