Vitaler's Schisandra 500 mg - 60 Capsules

Vitaler's Schisandra is a capsule supplement with Schisandra chinensis fruit extract. Each capsule provides 500 mg of extract standardised to 10% lignans, which is 50 mg. Lignans are a group of plant compounds, and the main ones in schisandra are schisandrins, characteristic of this species. The vegan formula has two ingredients: the extract and a plant-based capsule shell.

About the product

Schisandra is a climbing vine from the Far East. It grows wild in north-eastern China, Korea and the Russian Far East, and in autumn it bears clusters of red berries. Its Chinese name, wu wei zi, means "five-flavour fruit", because the berries taste sour, sweet, bitter, salty and pungent at once. The extract is standardised, so every batch has the same lignan content.
