Vitaler's Reishi 400 mg - 60 Capsules

Vitaler's Reishi is a capsule supplement with reishi fruiting body extract (Ganoderma lucidum), a mushroom also known as lingzhi. Each capsule contains 400 mg of extract standardised to 40% polysaccharides, which is 160 mg. The only other ingredient is the plant-based capsule shell, and the product is suitable for vegans.

About the product

Reishi grows on the trunks and stumps of broadleaf trees. Its cap has a glossy, almost lacquered surface, in colour from reddish-brown to yellowish. The fruiting body is hard, woody and bitter, so it is not eaten like culinary mushrooms. In China and Japan, decoctions have been prepared from it for centuries, and today it is used mainly as an extract. The extract is standardised to 40% polysaccharides, so every batch has the same content of these carbohydrates: 160 mg in one capsule. The label gives polysaccharides in total, without separating out beta-glucans. Country of origin: Poland.
