About the product

Chinese caterpillar fungus, now classified as Ophiocordyceps sinensis, is one of the most unusual fungi. In the wild it grows at an altitude of 3000-5000 m on the Tibetan Plateau and in the Himalayas, where it infects moth caterpillars living in the soil. In spring a thin, club-shaped fruiting body grows from the dead larva, hence the Tibetan name yarsagumba, "winter worm, summer grass". The extract is standardised to 50% polysaccharides, so every batch has the same content of these carbohydrates: 250 mg in one capsule. The label gives polysaccharides as a total, without a separate figure for beta-glucans. Country of origin: Poland.
