Skoczylas Black Cumin Seed Oil is 100% black cumin seed oil (Nigella sativa), cold-pressed by the Polish producer Purelab Marek Skoczylas from Rzeszów. The oil retains the natural properties of the seeds – a dark golden colour and a distinctive, pungent, spicy flavour reminiscent of the aroma of the seeds themselves.

Black cumin oil is a traditional spice in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine – it adds a distinctive flavour to salads, raw vegetable dishes, cottage cheese, groats, pasta and sauces served cold. It may contain natural sediment – this is a sign of minimal processing, not a product defect.

Intended use

Oil for cold dishes: salads, raw vegetable salads, cottage cheese (a classic Polish combination with Korycin cheese), sandwich spreads, grains (millet, buckwheat), pasta, sauces, marinades. Works well as an addition to hummus and vegetable dips. Vegan.

Directions

Add 1 tablespoon (~14 g) to cold dishes just before serving. The flavour is intense and distinctive – use sparingly, adding a few drops at a time until the desired intensity is achieved. It pairs well with garlic, lemon, lime juice and olive oil (50:50 for a milder flavour). Do not fry – high temperatures destroy the flavour and nutritional value of the oil.

Storage

Once opened, store in the fridge for up to 3–4 weeks. Keep away from direct sunlight in a tightly sealed bottle.
