About the product

Philips Avent Ultra Air, in the version for older babies, keeps what defines the whole line: a shield with very large vents. Air reaches the skin around the mouth and keeps it dry, even when a baby holds the soother throughout a whole nap.

The soother is symmetrical and orthodontic, so its shape works with the palate, gums and teeth already coming through at this age. The silicone surface is textured, soft and flexible to the touch. Made by Philips Avent in the Netherlands.

Intended use

A soother for children from 6 to 18 months. It satisfies the need to suck between feeds and helps a baby settle. A good choice when the skin around the mouth reacts easily to moisture, or when it's warm and the baby sweats.

How to use

Before first use, sterilise the soother in the case provided: fill it with water to the marked level, place the soothers inside, close the lid and put it in the microwave for 3 minutes. Let the case cool down, pour out the water and dry it. Then offer the soother to your baby and let them latch on their own. Check from time to time that the skin under the shield stays dry and clean.

Cleaning and care

Wash the soother and the case before each sterilisation. For hygiene reasons, replace the soother after 4 weeks of use. Store it in a clean, dry case.

Safety precautions

Use only under adult supervision. Before each use, check the soother for cracks or tears by gently pulling the silicone part in all directions. Replace it at the first signs of wear. Do not attach the soother to a cord or ribbon around the baby's neck, wrist or clothing.
