Olvita Ślężański cold-pressed rapeseed oil is 100% oil from erucic acid-free rapeseed grown in Polish fields – unrefined and cold-pressed at the Olvita oil mill in Poland. Erucic-free rapeseed is a variety with a low content of erucic acid and glucosinolates – the standard for modern edible rapeseed cultivation in the EU.
The manufacturer states in the product information 9 g of omega-3 fatty acids per 100 g of oil – this is alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). According to an authorised statement by the European Commission (Regulation 432/2012), alpha-linolenic acid contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels – a beneficial effect when consuming approximately 2 g of ALA per day.

Usage
A versatile cooking oil - for salads, sauces, marinades, sandwich spreads and raw vegetable dishes. Thanks to its higher thermal stability than linseed or hemp oil - it is also suitable for shallow frying and baking at lower temperatures. It retains its full benefits best when used cold. Vegan.
Directions for use
For cold use: 1 tablespoon (12 g) for a salad; for a dressing, 2–3 tablespoons of oil with a tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice. For dipping bread directly or as a base for sandwich spreads. For frying/baking: 1–2 tablespoons per pan, for briefly frying vegetables or eggs (not for deep-frying). The oil may become cloudy or thicken at low temperatures – this is a natural phenomenon and is fully reversible.
Storage
Store in a dry, cool place away from light. Use within a few months of opening. Cold-pressed, unrefined oils are 100% natural products – batches may vary in colour, taste and smell. This is a natural characteristic.
