Description
Bitter melon (Momordica charantia) is a plant grown mainly in tropical and subtropical areas of Asia and has been used for centuries in Ayurveda. As the name suggests, this fruit is bitter, so it is rarely eaten separately, raw. It resembles a cucumber in shape, which is why the Polish name for this plant is cucumber quail.
