Dr. Althea Melaclear Cream is a vegan brightening cream containing tranexamic acid, niacinamide and alpha-arbutin — a comprehensive treatment for skin with hyperpigmentation and uneven tone. Ceramides, PDRN and three forms of hyaluronic acid intensively moisturise and strengthen the skin barrier — can be used as a spot treatment or as a night mask.

Three-pronged approach to lightening hyperpigmentation

Dr. Althea Melaclear Cream is a cream designed around three complementary lightening mechanisms. Tranexamic acid blocks the melanogenesis signalling pathway between keratinocytes and melanocytes — inhibiting the formation of new hyperpigmentation. Niacinamide limits the transfer of melanosomes to epidermal cells — reducing the visibility of existing spots. Alpha-arbutin inhibits tyrosinase activity — an enzyme crucial to the entire melanin production pathway. Together, they form a brightening complex that acts at every stage of melanogenesis, whilst remaining gentle on the skin.

Liquorice extract (Lithospermum Erythrorhizon Root Extract) soothes irritation and enhances the brightening effect. Ceramide NP with hydrogenated lecithin seals the epidermal lipid barrier, whilst three forms of hyaluronic acid (Sodium Hyaluronate, Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid) provide multi-level hydration. Directions for use:
