About the product

Bilovit Cold-pressed hemp oil is 100% oil from the seeds of the hemp plant (Cannabis sativa) – unrefined, unfiltered and cold-pressed in a Polish oil mill. The hemp plant is an edible plant, non-psychoactive – we press culinary oil from its seeds (not the flowers).

Characteristic grass-green colour and deep, delicately nutty flavour – a distinctive sensory profile that does not suit every dish. Rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids (77 g/100 g according to the manufacturer’s specifications – see table).

Usage

Oil for cold dishes: fresh vegetable salads, drizzled over bread, as a base for pesto, or added to quark or dips. Its distinctive flavour pairs well mainly with raw vegetables and grains. For cooked dishes – add only once they have cooled. Not suitable for frying or baking – high temperatures degrade polyunsaturated fatty acids. Vegan.

Directions for use

Add 1 tablespoon (12 g) to cold dishes just before serving.

Straight from a teaspoon – 1–3 teaspoons a day. Due to its intense flavour profile – start with a smaller portion and adjust to your taste. It goes perfectly with rocket salads, tomatoes, beetroot or carrot salads.

Storage

Once opened, store in the fridge and use within a month – 250 ml of hemp oil oxidises when exposed to light, heat and air after opening. Keep the bottle tightly closed.
