BeKeto Erythritol is pure erythritol in powder form – a polyol (sugar alcohol) used as a sweetener. It occurs naturally in many fruits, including melons and grapes. It has a sweet taste similar to sugar (approx. 70–80% of the sweetness), with no aftertaste.

Unlike sugar and other sweeteners, erythritol does not undergo significant fermentation in the gut (better tolerance than maltitol or xylitol). It sweetens without calories – suitable for those on a ketogenic, low-carb diet or monitoring their sugar intake.

Intended use

Directions for use

Use as you would ordinary sugar, bearing in mind that erythritol is about 70–80% as sweet as sugar – to achieve the same level of sweetness, increase the amount by a quarter. In baking: use as a sugar substitute in a ratio of 1:1 to 1:1.3. Typical serving size: 5 g (one teaspoon) per cup of coffee or tea. Excessive consumption may have a laxative effect (as with any polyol).
