About the Product
Ziółko Oak Bark is a dried bark of Pedunculate Oak (Quercus robur), a majestic tree that can live for several hundred years and has long been a symbol of endurance. The bark is harvested in early spring from young trunks and branches, before the leaves unfold. Produced in Poland.
Oak bark contains natural tannins, which give it a distinctly astringent, binding flavour and a dark-coloured brew. It is a classic raw material of traditional herbalism, used primarily externally as a rinse for the mouth and throat, and as a hair rinse that can lend a deeper, darker shade to the hair.
