FaStep COVID-19 Antigen and Influenza Type A/B Nasal Test Kit - 1 Piece

Disposable home test in the form of a nasal applicator for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 virus antigen and influenza A and B viruses.

The antigen test for COVID-19 and influenza type A/B, performed from a nasal swab, is an in vitro immunoassay. It allows direct, qualitative detection of the nucleocapsid proteins of SARS-CoV-2 virus, influenza A virus and influenza B virus in nasal cavity samples. It is designed for stand-alone use.

As the symptoms of COVID-19 and influenza are similar (e.g. fever, cough, fatigue), the test helps in rapid diagnosis, which is particularly important to avoid complications such as pneumonia.

For children aged between 2 and 18 years, the test should be carried out under supervision and with the help of an adult. A negative result does not rule out infection with these viruses and should not be the only factor in determining treatment or other medical action. This test is for both those without symptoms and those with COVID-19 symptoms, within the first 7 days of their onset.

How to use:

Store the COVID-19 and influenza type A/B nasal swab antigen test at 2~30℃ when not in use. DO NOT FREEZE. The contents of the kit are stable until the expiry date shown on the outer packaging and the test foil

Expiry date of test: 24 months from date of manufacture.

Precautions:

Take care when inserting the swab into the nasal cavity. Do not use the kit or its components after the expiry date. Do not pierce the membrane in the tube with buffer before testing. Carefully read and follow the instructions for use. The test is not intended for children under 2 years of age. The test items are packaged in plastic bags to protect them from moisture. Check each bag before opening and do not use the items if the bag is damaged or unsealed. Incorrect storage can lead to erroneous results. Ensure samples and kit components are at room temperature before testing; otherwise test sensitivity may be reduced. Improper sample collection or storage can result in false negative results. Avoid contact of buffer with eyes, skin and mucous membranes. Rinse abundantly with water in case of contact. Keep the test out of the reach of children. Small components may present a choking hazard. Use only the test items provided and do not replace the buffer with other liquids. Keep the swab clean; do not touch it or allow it to touch any surface before use. Use a separate test for each person. If you have a nose piercing, take a swab from the other nostril. If piercing on both sides, remove the earring from one side before taking the swab.
