Mito-Pharma BactoFlor for Kids is a powder with live bacterial cultures, developed for children aged 3 to 12. It combines 9 strains from the Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillus and Streptococcus genera, with one scoop providing 3 billion Colony Forming Units (CFU). The powder has a neutral taste, so it can be mixed into a drink, porridge or cereal without changing the flavour.

BactoFlor for Kids is a version of the preparation formulated for children up to 12 years of age. The composition includes nine strains - four from the Bifidobacterium genus, four Lactobacillus and one Streptococcus thermophilus - each with its own identification marker assigned by the manufacturer.

The powder form solves the issue that usually decides the matter with capsules: the child does not have to swallow anything. The powder has a neutral taste, so it does not change the flavour of food or drink, and the included scoop allows the portion to be measured out. Each bacterial cell has been microencapsulated, and the powder is sealed in an induction-sealed container, which limits exposure to oxygen and moisture. The preparation is manufactured in Germany, at the INTERCELL Pharma facility.

Ingredients

Maltodextrin, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium breve, Bifidobacterium infantis, Bifidobacterium longum, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus reuteri, Streptococcus thermophilus.

Suggested use

1 Scoop (1 g) or 2 Scoops (2 g) of powder daily, with or after a meal. The manufacturer recommends use for at least two to three months; the preparation may also be used for longer.

The powder can be mixed into a drink, porridge, cereal or a bottle of milk. The food or drink must not be warmer than room temperature - at higher temperatures the bacteria die and the preparation stops working. The prepared portion should be given immediately.

The scoop included in the pack should be washed before first use.

Contraindications

The preparation is intended for children aged 3 to 12. Hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the preparation.

Storage

Store in a dry place at room temperature, away from heat sources and direct sunlight, out of reach of young children. If the preparation is to be stored for longer than 3 months, the manufacturer recommends keeping it in the refrigerator.
